FILLY AND SHOW NEWS

HI I forgot to mention we had a beautiful filly on May 25. Her name is Leggo's Sweet Lily. At the New England Morgan Show I showed 2nd Level and won the Grand Championship I also showed 3rd Level and was Reserve Champion with my first time doing the test. I was very pleased This week we went to Maplewood Warmbloods breed show and I got a 70.5 for my score and can in third against the Warmbloods . My three year old son Leggo's Great Expection got a 72.5 score in the 3year old gelding and stallion class. I was very proud. Hope all is well with all of you. Things are great here. Vermont Spring Classic

I showed in 2nd level Dressage at the Vermont Spring Classic and won all three of my classes. I then received the Championship in that division and High Point 2nd Level Senior Riden Dressage. North Star has two of my Children at the show both yearlings The Filly (Black) was just beautiful and the Colt (Bay) was very handsome, even if I say so myself. Let's talk soon. Leggo

First show of the season

We are getting ready to show our first show next week in Mass. It is the Vermont Morgan Show. We are showiing 2nd level first because they do not offer any higher levels. Dee Loveless is going to ride me this year I really like her and she really likes me. I think this will be a great match. Dad(Bill) is still training me and he is great. and thinks Dee and I go well. I bred a mare yesterday and all went well. I am so happy winter is over. It is going to be a great spring. 2 of my three year old geldings are here at the farm and going great in their training. Both are real big boys. They are really nice boys. My favorate mare Sweety is due to foal the latter part of the month. Let's hope and pray all goes well Let's take soon. Leggo

Spring Show Season

We are getting ready for the new show season. I will be showing in second and third level dressage this year. I would also like to do some show driving but we will see what happens. Not becaue of me but Mom and Dad don't have a carrige to fit me other than the training cart. We will be at the Vermont Morgan show in May for the first show and I am going to show in several open shows too in hand and under saddle. This will be a Great Year! My sons that our at the farm are just turning 3 and are being trained to ride and drive. Very smart boys. The lady that bought Leggo Who's your Daddy is very happy with him for both the riding and drive disciplines. Take soon, Leggo

Training for Trust using V.O.I.C.E.

Last week Dad (Bill) gave a talk at the Saratoga Driving Assoc. winter conference on his idea of Training for Trust using V.O.I.C.E.
V=Verbal
O=Obedience
I=In hand
C=Confidence
E=Engagement, mentally and physically
Everyone was open to Dad's horse philosophy, and the way he delivered it. The audience, all these Saratoga Driving Association people, were wonderful to Mom and Dad (Nancy and Bill), and given all the other speakers after Dad, we all walked away better informed. NYStallion Service Auction

February 2, 2008 is the NY Stallion Service Auction at the Saratoga Hotel everybody says it is a wonderful time. I am Lot #9 their is total of 43 Lots. Phone open at 6:00PM and the Auction begins at 7:30PM. The foals will be eligible for the 2008 NY Morgan Regional Championship Horse Show and 2012 NY Morgan Regional Championship Horse Show. I have started to do my flying changes and I am very proud of myself I am doing a get job at getting them. This year I will be doing 3rd Level am I am going to be GREAT!!!!! Dad(Bill) and Mom (Nancy) are very pleased with all I am doing. They truly love me and I love them. We will talk soon Bye! Leggo

sweatshirts and tees shirts

Mom(Nancy) got some really nice sweatshirts and tees shirts with my picture and name on them. The sweatshirts are $27.00 and the Tees are $17.00. They are made in the USA. We are keeping this All American!! Dad (Bill) has been working alot with me and now we are going to start my flying led changes. But probably not to after Christmas. zephyr

My weanling colt Zephyr has sold. I am very sad. He was a wonderful baby and I loved him very much. He went to a very nice lady who said if for any reason she cannot keep him she would sell him back. They seemed like very nice people and I am sure he will have a wonderful home. God Bless Zephyr and may he go to his full potential. We are getting ready for Christmas it is getting real cold. Dad has given me several days off. Not so bad!!Shadow, Scott Monroe's horse has come for the some training and a couple of winter months. He is really nice. He gets along with everybody and a joy to have in the barn. Login my 2year old son is now in training. Boy he is smart!!He pulls weight and a real joy. He is bay, only a few, and very pretty and he is going to be big. We are adding two more stall to the barn real soon it is getting very busy around here. Let's talk soon Leggo

Home from Equine Affaire

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you all but we were all so tired when we got home from the Equine Affaire. Then Bill and Nancy got sick but I did not. We has such a wonderful time at the event. Everyone we met was just wonderful. The people on Morgan row were all so nice and helpful. Lots of people can up to look at me! It was Great! They were so surprised to see how big I am. I like it when people look at me. It makes me feel real proud. We had over 600 people sign up for my sweatshirt. A girl from Middleboro,Ma. won the sweatshirt. CONGRADULATIONS TO HER!A very nice lady by the name of Sandy email us and said we could use her email on our blog. It reads"Just wanted to say hello and tell you how happy I was to see Leggo at Equine Affaire. My barn buddies were busy drooling over the Freisians but I moved on to the Morgans and you should have seen my face when I fould Leggo! He is even more beautiful in person I have had his picture on my desk (from a Morgan Magazine) forever. I even contacted you maybe a year ago when you were thinking of selling Leggos' Who's your Daddy. Best Wishes to you and Leggo!" Thanks Sandy your very kind. Equine Affaire 2007

We are doing lots of demonstrations at Equine Affaire, Nov. 8-11 in Springfield, MA.

Thursday, 5:15 pm - demonstration in Mallory Arena
Friday, 2 pm - demonstration at Morgan Row
Saturday, 3:15 pm - Morgan Breed Demonstration in the Coliseum
Sunday, 3:15 pm - demonstration in Mallory Arena

Barn Party and Equine Affaire

We had a wonderful party. Lots of people walking though the barn looking at all the horses. Everybody loved Zephyr my 4 month old son. Leggo's Who's Your Daddy (Bucky) got rave reviews. Logan was next door at the other barn so the people did not get to see him. I think he is about 15.2 hands as a two year old. Now we are getting ready to go to the Equine Affaire in W. Springfield Ma. on Nov 8-11. Bill will be riding me in a demonstration. We are going to have a free raffle for one of my Rosevale Leggo sweatshirt. If you're there stop by! Let's talk soon, Leggo

Leggo speaks

I (Leggo) have decided to manage my our blogger.I can tell you better then my parents can. Finally Mom and Dad bought a measurings stick and found out that I am 16.2Hands. I knew I was taller than the other horses saying they were my size. We are having a party tomorrow at the barn tomorrow for the boarders and lesson people.It should be fun!! There is a band and lots of food and I like the people looking at all the horses in the barn they are all great. What a beautiful week it has been, but I think we will have a early winter. show season

Rosevale Leggo had a wonderful show season!! He and Bill showed 2nd Level in Dressage. At the Vermont Morgan show he was Champion. Reserve Champion at the New England Regional and New York Regional. In open competition he won First Place at Kasson Ridge Dressage Breeding Division Stallions 4yrs and older currently standing at Stud. Leggo was Reserve Champion in the Stallion Championship. At the NEDA Fall Festival IBC Morgan Division Leggo was Champion with a score of 72% in that class. Leggo was Reserve Champion in the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders' Champion Series New England Series Final. Leggo will be at the November Equine Affaire in West Springfield Ma. on Morgan Row Hope to see you there!!
